I know right. I saw this on the Simplicity website and couldn't wait for the next sale. I can't wait to get this. Watching the mailbox daily. What fabric are you planning to use?
Im not sure but Im leaning toward something purple. Deep, plum- like purple.
You have such fabulous taste! I love all your dresses! How long does it take you to make a dress like this? And whats up with the sizes on the back of the sewing instructions? If I went to a store and bought a dress I would get a size 4, but based on the measurements for the dress I'm between a size 10 and 12? So confused? Am I misunderstanding something? Sorry, I'm new to sewing!
Thank you! It usually takes me anywhere from 3 day to a week to finish a dress, depending on my schedule and how gung-ho I am about it. I know pattern sizing IS confusing! I wear a RTW (ready to wear) size 2 but make a pattern size 6 or 8. Often I make a "muslin" or a mock- up dress out of spare or cheap fabric to make sure I get the fit just right!
Yep - this one is definely you. You would look great in purple.
Oh hell no. You are so not making this dress without making one for me. I'm putting my foot down.
Agh!!!! Can you believe my pattern got here today. In the WRONG SIZE even though I ordered the right one. I was so ready to get this dress made this weekend.
