Coat Crush

I have a crush on this fab little coat, but over $100 for a polyester coat!? Hmmm, I am considering using this as a sewing inspiration!

Butterick 4665 is a nice option to start from. Pros: 1. It has the same nice princess seams. Very flattering. 2. It has a similar collar option that could easily be modified to match. 3. It has the inseam pockets that I could easily (or maybe not) add the pocket flap to. Cons: No belt pattern or loop placement, but I could quickly whip that up. All in all, its a great match! And of course I would look for a nice wool tweed and maybe some cool buttons!
